At Jaan, we are frugal, but do not  take lightly the wellness of our Residents and of needy individuals such as the non-human companions of the elderly, homeless or disabled person on a low income who for not some assistance, their non-human companion would suffer.

In addition, when we do an intake where there is imminent danger for the animal--the initial veterinarian care alone runs a few hundred dollars for each, if not a couple of thousands--depending on the condition of the animal being rescued.

We employ elasticity of resource approach, by connecting with other NPO, socially responsibly businesses willing veterinarian clinics/hospitals/doctors whenever possible and inhouse nursing, to provide critical and wellness needs that arise-- first to our residents, then of other needy animals that come to our attention.

Therefore, building a fund for this program is responsible
